It was Lindgren’s success in 2004, however, that really put him on the poker map. Lindgren had an impressive showing in many WPT events and ended up taking home the title of WPT player of the year. In ’05 Lindgren continued to pile up the cash with a win on the Pro Poker Tour and two more final tables finishes in WPT events. In 2008 Erick finally got the monkey off his back and won his first and only WSOP bracelet. Erick has now won more than $4,000,000 in his tournament poker career.
Erick is a full member of team Full Tilt and being a member of this team requires certain responsibilities. One of these responsibilities is hosting an FTOPS event, but nobody said anything about having to win it. Erick Lindgren hosted FTOPS event #9 in ’08 and became the first Full Tilt Pro to ever win the online tournament they were hosting. Lindgren outlasted 5,600 players to accomplish this remarkable feat and took home $291,000 for his efforts.
Erick is pretty tight with a lot of other top poker players including Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu. He love making golf prop bets and with his group of friends it’s not hard to get action. There is actually a bet out right now between him and Ivey that Phil won’t beat Erick over 72 holes in 8 years from the start of the bet. So as you can tell from the specifications of that bet, Erick is quite the accomplished golfer.
Erick is a lot of fun and never shies away from the action. Check him out on Full Tilt Poker, but don’t be surprised if he wins the next FTOPS event he hosts.
